Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season three patch solves your green unlock indicator problem once and for all

The biggest change in this week's Modern Warfare patch almost went unnoticed.

Away from all the major changes and fixes that arrived this week with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare/Warzone's Season three patch, there's one tiny addition that wasn't even mentioned in the patch notes.

That change was confirmed weeks ago to have been in the works, but was never actually announced as part of this patch. Players were delighted to launch the game and stumble upon it themselves.

That being, ladies and gentlemen, a solution to the green unlock indicator driving you mad.

I bet you guys didn't notice this little devil in the new update! ????? from r/modernwarfare

In Modern Warfare and Warzone, the game alerts you whenever you unlock something new by placing a small green box on the menu. You'll see it on the classes page more often, but because of the sheer number of weapons, attachments and camos you can unlock, it was a right pain to try and find which gun had which new unlock for you to check out.

Keep in mind, this needed to be done for every new item, including each of the different camo unlocks. For Warzone players, this is an even bigger problem since they typically use a wide range of weapons every match, all of which unlock new items as you play.

Now, there's a new prompt you'll see on the bottom left that clears all of these with a single press of the button. You'll need to have active green alerts to see it, and it clears them for each tab individually. So one for Gunsmith, another for Operators and a third for Barracks.

In other news, the official landing page for Season three briefly confirmed the addition of Duos to Warzone, so it's very likely coming soon.
