Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season 5 roadmap revealed

Infinity Ward recently revealed the official roadmap for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season 5 for both standard multiplayer and Warzone.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season 5 kicks off tomorrow, Wednesday, August 5. It's worth mentioning that Activision Support recently tweeted that players can pre-download it from August 4 (that's today!), so if you've got rubbish internet and want to make sure it's ready to go as soon as it goes live, make sure to start installing it ASAP.

But that's not why you're here! Here's the roadmap for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season 5, as tweeted out by popular Call of Duty site charlieINTEL.

Look at that! Most of the upcoming changes for Season 5 will be available at launch, including all four of the new Modern Warfare maps: Suldal Harbor (6v6), Petrov Oil Rig (6v6), Livestock (Gunfight), and Verdansk International Airport (Ground War).

That's not to mention that as of tomorrow, the stadium will be open in Warzone. You can now fight in the stadium instead of having to have scraps on top of it. There's also a new train.

We're getting a new Operator (Lerch), a new multiplayer mode (Search and Destroy Double Down), two new weapons (AN-94 and ISO), and three Warzone updates: juggernaut drops, mastery challenges, and a new mode, Mini Royale.

Updates for later in the season include a Barebones mode, a Ground War Reinforce mode, a mid-season event, another new Operator (Velikan), a King Slayer mode for Warzone, and two new weapons: the Dual Kodachis, and something classified. Mysterious!

If you haven't seen any gameplay from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season 5 yet, you can check out official multiplayer and Warzone footage at the link. You even get a look inside the stadium, where a few of the lads are trying to take down a helicopter. It's like a modern day rendition of that Game of Thrones scene where Drogon kicks around the Sons of the Harpy in the Essos version of the Colosseum.
