Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered launch trailer reminds you it's almost here (sort of)

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered launches in a week. Kind of.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered is a digital-only affair that comes bundled with special editions of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and won't be available for separate purchase.

Since Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare doesn't release until early November, what's this launch trailer for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered doing here today?

Well, you see, if you pre-order Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare on PS4, you get access to the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered campaign (but not multiplayer) 30 days in advance - so from October 5. This is one of the more confusing platform exclusive pre-order bonuses we've seen, and your mileage may vary.

In any case, the trailer is a good bit of hype for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered, which seems like a bit of a trojan horse to me, to get the sci-fi leanings of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare through your door in a year when Battlefield 1 is winning hearts by going back in time.

I wonder if we'll see Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered next year? Now that would turn a few heads.
