Watch some 20v20 Call of Duty: Modern Warfare multiplayer action

Last night's big Call of Duty: Modern Warfare moment was somewhat spoiled by the game refusing to run high-player-count modes.

In case you missed it, the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare multiplayer debut brought us plenty of new footage, and answered a lot of our questions about the reboot. Unfortunately, the build seemingly wasn't stable enough for game modes with 10v10 and 20v20 players.

The plan was to start off with the classic 6v6 - which went off without a hitch, then move over to 10v10, 20v20 and close it off with 2v2 Gunfight. Unfortunately, the server crashed immediately after starting the 10v10 match, which prompted a restart. The new match itself didn't last long before being shutdown.

Organisers then decided to skip it and move straight to 20v20. Disappointingly, 20v20, too, just didn't work, running into similar problems that ended up forcing everyone to just skip to 2v2 Gunfight.

The good news is that those who attended the event in person were able to capture their own 20v20 gameplay. There, Infinity Ward showed off 20v20 for both Team Deathmatch, as well as five-flag Domination. The map chosen was Aniyah Palace, in its big-boy form.

We've rounded up some raw gameplay from YouTube showing both formats running 20v20. See them all below:
