Bungie looking for mobile programmer with iOS, Android, and Windows Mobile experience

Bungie has posted a job listing for a Senior Mobile Application Programmer to help "define the interface of Bungie's next gaming universe".

According to the listing, "Bungie is embarking on a new and challenging journey" and is looking for a person who has a "serious passion for mobile application development".

"Our mobile development team is focused on establishing real time connectivity for millions of users and terabytes of data," reads the ad. "Join our team and define the interface of Bungie's next gaming universe to the world."

Experience with at least one mobile SKU in the iOS, Android, or Windows Mobile is a a must for the hire, as well as a "passion and curiosity for games, mobile applications, socialization and how they all work together".

During GDC Online, Bungie's creative director Joe Staten hinted around about Bungie’s next project and teased: “Wouldn’t it be great if we could make a world that was always there for you? Wow. That would be great.”

The comment added more fuel to the Bungie MMO fire that’s been slowly smoldering for quite a while.

Bungie’s Brian Jarrard refused to confirm or deny to us if the new IP the studio is working on for Activision is, in fact, an MMO or not. However, Activision’s Thomas Tippl said during the announcement of the Bungie deal that online was “expected” to be a big part of Bungie’s new game. That could mean online multiplayer though, not necessarily an MMO.

Earlier today, some Bungie trademark applications from 2010 were outed, leading one to believe the developer's next game could be called or have something to do with “Osiris“, “New Monarchy“, “Seven Seraphs” or “Dead Orbit”.
