Bulletstorm EULA falsely implies always-on DRM

20110131bulletstorm

An erroneous EULA sparked outrage over the weekend by falsely suggesting the PC version of Bulletstorm employs an always-on Internet DRM connection.

But it doesn't, so lower your pitchforks.

Destructoid combed through the Bulletstorm end user agreement and turned up an alarming phrase:

"PERSISTENT INTERNET CONNECTION AND ACCEPTANCE OF END USER LICENSE AGREEMENT REQUIRED TO PLAY."

People Can Fly's Adrian Chmielarz denied the EULA's terms. "Bulletstorm PC does not require any constant connection, only for install and for online play," he tweeted, presumably dropping the blame at EA's door.

Thanks, Blue.
