How to start the new Borderlands 3: Guns, Love and Tentacles DLC - release times across all regions

The new Guns, Love and Tentacles DLC has landed in Borderlands 3, so here's how to get started.

Whether you're playing on PS4, PC or Xbox One, you'll be able to access the Guns, Love and Tentacles DLC in Borderlands 3 from Thursday, March 26. It involves the marriage of Sir Alistair Hammerlock and Wainwright Jakobs, as well as fighting against some weird occultists. You'll be working alongside Gaige the Mechromancer, a former Vault Hunter, and her trusty robot pal Deathtrap to sort things out.

There are new Legendary weapons to find, quests to complete and cosmetics to collect, and the level cap will be increased to 57. With this increase, you'll be able to earn four additional skill points and equip two capstone abilities at once.

How to start the new Borderlands 3: Guns, Love and Tentacles DLC

Before you can play the new Guns, Love and Tentacles Borderlands 3 DLC, you need to separately download it from your storefront of choice. Search Borderlands 3 on the PSN Store, Steam, or the Microsoft store and you'll find a separate listing for the new content.

Next, you need to make sure you game is up-to-date with the latest patch: version 1.10.

When that's all downloaded, drop into your saved game and head to Sanctuary. In Hammerlock's room on the top floor of the Sanctuary 3, you'll be able to find a new quest marker on a side table.

Borderlands 3: Guns, Love and Tentacles DLC - Navigate to Xylourgos

You first objective will be to "navigate to Xylourgos". To do this, go to the bridge of the ship - where BALEX the teddy is - and interact with the console.

Xylourgos, the frozen planet, is second on the list.

From here, use the drop pod next to the garage to start the DLC!

Collector's Edition, Season Pass and Super Deluxe Edition owners will be able to download it automatically. With that in mind, let's take a look at when Guns, Love and Tentacles unlocks.

With the last DLC, there were a few issues where it wouldn't load for some right away, so you might need to check back after the launch time to see when you can download it. Providing you own the Season Pass, Collector's Edition or Super Deluxe Editions, Guns, Love and Tentacles will unlock at the following times:

  • 4 pm GMT
  • 12 pm ET
  • 9 am PT
  • 3 am AEDT (March 27)
