Bloodstained: Ritual of The Night is coming to Android and iOS 'soon'

The Castlevania-inspired console and PC hit Bloodstained: Ritual of The Night is coming to iOS and Android 'soon', according to publisher NetEase Games.

Developer ArtPlay has announced that the spiritual successor to Castlevania will arrive on Android and iOS devices soon, and will be available on mobile platforms as a paid download.

Bloodstained: Ritual of The Nigh will launch on mobile with all console DLC intact and include more or less everything from the original game, including over 120 monsters and bosses, 107 weapons, and 23 weapon skills. And the game will come with a wholly revamped Achievements system, too.

The premium game will see a few minor adjustments to it works better on the smaller screen. Controls will be altered and combos will be streamlined so that you can play the title better without a controller, and the UI will be adjusted to make it more readable on a mobile device. There's even a new shortcut button on the screen that'll allow you to quickly change weapons and equipment without having to flick through menus and so on.

Released in 2019 and topping one million copies sold already, the game is set in 18th century England where a paranormal force has summoned a demon-infested castle, revealing crystal shards infused with tremendous magical power. Players take on the role of Miriam – an orphan scarred by an alchemist curse which slowly crystallizes her body. If it sounds very Castlevania... well, that's because it is in all but name.

If you've yet to try out Koji Igarashi's faithful revisit to the genre, it's a decent game and one that's absolutely worth trying out via Xbox Games Pass if you're a subscriber.
