BloodRayne: Betrayal delayed to the end of August

The pixel-perfect Bloodrayne: Betrayal has suffered a few weeks' delay, but will arrive on both console networks at the end of August.

Previous schedule for earlier in the month, the Xbox 360 version arrives on August 30 with the PlayStation 3 following up on August 31.

The games has been developed by 2D specialist WayForward, and features some pretty amazing art. You'll be able to grab it for 1200 MS Points or $15.

Betrayal is the latest entry in a franchise formerly developer by Def Jam Rapstar studio Terminal Reality. It spanned two PS2-era action games, several comics, and two dire Uwe Boll films; a third one just released direct to DVD and BluRay, god help us all. The adventures of the titular vampire protagonist have a somewhat inexplicable but rabid fanbase.

New screenshots of the game are available over on GamersHell.
