Blood Bowl 3 coming to PC and consoles in August 2021

Cyanide Studio’s newest video game interpretation of Games Workshop tabletop game, Blood Bowl 3, is launching in August this year.

In a new statement, publisher Nacon has announced that Blood Bowl 3 will come to PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch this summer.

The announcement about the American Football-inspired Warhammer-based game was made, unsurprisingly, off the back of the Superbowl hype that built up until last night, and whose hangover-like effects you can see on the internet today.

Check out the new Blood Bowl 3 trailer below, showing off a fictional in-world beverage called “Bugman’s XXXXXX: A beverage for the braves”.

“Funnier, bloodier, and more spectacular than ever, Blood Bowl 3 will be a hit with fans of the universe and strategy games alike,” says a blurb for the upcoming game.

“At launch, the game will include 12 teams' each with their own pitch and cheerleaders, Campaign and Multiplayer modes, and more customization options than a Blood Bowl game has ever received before.”

For the curious, the following teams will be playable: Black Orcs, Imperial Nobility, Chaos Chosen, Chaos Renegade, Dark Elves, Dwarfs, Elven Union, Humans, Nurgle, Old World Alliance, Orcs and Skaven.
