Blizzard's Rob Pardo announced his departure today

Blizzard's CCO Rob Pardo has announced he is leaving the company after 17 years.
In an open letter on the company's official website, Pardo said the decision to leave was in order to "pursue the next chapter in my life and career."
After taking a break over the summer, he said he will think about what's next for him, and will announce his plans "when it's ready."
