Blizzard: WoW Cataclysm dungeons "intended to be challenging"

cataclysm

WoW lead systems designer Greg Street has come out and defended the difficulty of Cataclysm's dungeons.

He wrote on the Battle.net forums that the dungeons were "intended" to be the way they were.

"While, at the end of the day, dungeons may just be gussied up loot vending machines, we want you to do more than push a button to get the loot," said Street.

"We don't want to give under-geared or unorganised groups a near guaranteed chance of success. Because then the content will feel absolutely trivial for players in appropriate gear who communicate, cooperate, and strategise.

"In Cataclysm, the Heroic dungeons and raids are intended to be challenging - and they are, at least until you over-gear them."

There you go then. Grow a pair and level up, innit.
