Blizzard's latest developer video is all about the netcode update for Overwatch.

The studio announced last month it was rolling out high bandwidth servers which would increase the tick rate on PC.

According to lead engineer Tim Ford and senior engineer Philip Orwig, the netcode update has rolled out to most servers, with more regions to follow.

In the announcement last month, Blizzard said the game will become more responsive with a higher tick rate, and have added tech which will automatically scale down the update rate if the player’s internet can’t maintain a steady connection. Ford and Oriwg explain how this will work in video above as well.

The team is also still investigating how the netcode update can be applied to consoles.
