Black the Fall and Leap of Fate are next Square Enix Collective games - trailers & details

Square Enix has added a handful of new games to its indie crowd-voting platform, along with new details and information. They include dark and brooding puzzler Black the Fall and sci-fi action game Leap of Fate.

Black the Fall comes from indie team Sad Sand Sailor, and takes place in a dark and violent world that appears to have regressed from a mechanised state into a place where savage natives and beasts run riot.

It blends 2D puzzle-solving with stealth elements as well as gunplay, and you can sample the demo here, or download it on Windows, Mac and Linux.

Next up is Leap of Fate, a sci-fi action game from Clever-Plays. It takes place in modern day New York City which hides a world of mages and powers that lurks beneath every day life. You play as a fugitive mage forced to run a gauntlet of trials within a temple called the Crucible of Fates, in the hopes of changing your fate.

The combat is said to be fast and unforgiving, and seeing as players only have one life per session, they'll need to be mindful of positioning and strategy to win against immeasurable odds. Sessions also deliver randomly-generated skill patch that can give your hero a boost. Depending on how you play, you'll hit one of several endings - called 'Fates' - and seeing them all sounds like it'll require a lot of skill.

Check out Black the Fall and Leap of Fate over on the Square Enix Collective page, and be sure to glance at the screens below.
