Black Ops Cold War Zombies' Outbreak mode is getting a new map

Treyarch has begun teasing a new arrival in Black Ops Cold War's Zombies Outbreak mode.

The release of Outbreak, the large-scale Zombies mode, at the start of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War's second season was one of the season's highlights.

Outbreak repurposes parts of the Fireteam maps for a Zombies experience unlike anything seen before. Rounds contain any one of several objectives, such as escorting a research specimen and defending it from zombies, eliminating a high-value target, holding out in a small building and more. With every successful completion, players get a choice of either advancing into more difficult zones, or extracting.

At launch, Outbreak debuted with three maps: Ruka, Alpine, and Golova, but now Treyarch is teasing the arrival of one more. The teaser, posted to Twitter, is very brief, but it appears to show Sanatorium, the only missing Fireteam map.

We're quickly approaching the midway point of Season 2, which is likely when the new map will arrive - alongside an assortment of content for multiplayer and the wider game. We expect more details about the mid-season update sometime this week.
