Black Jacket relaunches Metal Drift on D2D and GamersGate

Black Jacket Studios has relaunched Metal Drift over on Direct2Drive and GamersGate, and along with the release comes some bug fixes and improvements.

According to post over on Blue's News, there's also a new server which is faster, as well as the addition of servers for the East Coast and Europe.

"When we initially launched on Steam, it was tucked between Borderlands, Dragon Age, and Modern Warfare 2 releases," explained the developer regarding the relaunch. "We were lucky to get the little press that we did at the time. We're re-launching now on new platforms and with an update to bolster and expand our community and hopefully get a little more attention at a slower time of year.

"We still think it's the most action-packed multiplayer game out there. Maybe not the best graphics ever, but you really can't beat the action."

Metal Drift was originally released on Steam in 2009. A list of fixes and additions can be found through the link.
