BioWare reveals cross-platform F2P RPG Ultima Forever

EA BioWare has announced it's restoring "the first great Western RPG" in Ultima Forever: Quest for the Avatar, giving players the chance to return to the series in a cross-platform RPG.

The title is a remake of 1985's Ultima IV, and will arrive on iPad and PC later this year.

The newly opened Ultima Forever website is short on specific details but states that players will be tasked with saving the land of Britannia as either a fighter or a mage, travelling alone or with friends. There's no word on what form the cross-platform play will take.

The site is accepting beta sign-ups.
