Bioshock Infinite development team loses key members

Two top members of the Bioshock Infinite team have parted ways with developer Irrational Games within the last month, reports Gamasutra.

Director of product development Tim Gerritson and art director Nate Wells have both ended their time with the Boston-based studio.

Gerritson, a former chairman at Human Head Studios, directly oversaw the content creators for the much-anticipated FPS, while Wells, a 13 year veteran of the studio, received widespread acclaim for his work on the original Bioshock. Both men have listed the end of their tenures on their respective LinkedIn pages.

The report goes on to note that Wells added Naughty Dog to his list of employers in 2012, which may lead some to speculate that he could be on his way to the Uncharted dev in the near future. That's purely a rumor at this point, though, as Wells himself has removed the listing from his page.

As we reported earlier in the year, Bioshock Infinite has been pushed back from its original 2012 release date, and is now set to launch on February 26 of next year.
