BF3: Armored Kill DLC release date locked, hits PS3 Premium first

Battlefield 3's Armored Kill expansion has finally settled on a solid release date on all platforms.

As detailed on the game's website, Battlefield 3 Premium members will receive the content first, starting on September 4 with the PlayStation 3, before spreading to PC and Xbox 360 on September 11.

For those not yet signed up for DICE's extra-special service, the wait's a little longer. The general release for Armored Kill is September 18 on PS3, and September 25 for other platforms.

Armored Kill adds five new drivable vehicles - tanks, ATVs and mobile artillery - and 20 vehicle unlocks, as well as Death Valley, described as the largest map in the franchise's history. It packs in a new Tank Superiority mode and allows you to spawn from a gunship. Another expansion is expected in December.
