Bethesda's two unannounced projects are big games like Fallout 4 and Skyrim

The "two large projects" Bethesda has in the works are similar in scope to Fallout 4 and Skyrim, and we should expect those to land sometime before The Elder Scrolls 6.

Speaking with IGN at E3 2016, company VP of public relations Pete Hines reiterated earlier comments from Todd Howard, that these were in the works alongside The Elder Scrolls 6.

Hines also clarified that these were full titles, and not DLC, in case anyone was under such an assumption.

"[Howard] said for sure that he’s got two other projects," said Hines. "I’m just making sure folks understand that doesn’t mean he’s going to spit out a DLC and another DLC and we’re head faking.

"I need folks to understand that we’re talking about big games like a Skyrim and a Fallout 4 and a Fallout 3 and those don’t just happen."

Earlier this week during YouTube's Live at E3 stream, Howard said Elder Scrolls 6 was in the works, although it was very early, and not to expect to see it before the other two projects coming from the studio.

Hines reiterated Howard's comment the development team is "planning on doing [these titles] before they get to an Elder Scrolls 6."

Back in February, Howard said the studio was working on “three long-term” projects "different than anything we’ve done before, while also being a Bethesda-style game."

One of those was apparently The Elder Scrolls 6, just going by the new "two projects" quote.

In the meantime, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players can grab Skyrim: Special Edition on October 28. The upgraded version will also be available for PC, and those who own a Steam copy of the original and its add-ons can upgrade for free.
