Bethesda will not host a digital showcase in June

Bethesda has announced it will not host a digital showcase of its games in June in light of the current climate.

With E3 2020 canceled, many developers are hosting digital events in lieu of a live conference, but Bethesda has opted not to host a digital showcase in June.

This is according to Bethesda Softworks senior vice president of global marketing Pete Hines, who shared the news on Twitter.

With many development teams all over the globe working from home due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a digital event might be a logistics issue for the company.

Microsoft and Ubisoft both said a digital event was in the planning stages, and Devolver Digital said it plans to go ahead with a digital showcase. Nintendo said it was looking into “other ways” to keep fans updated on its activities and products.
