Bethesda settles Westworld mobile game lawsuit against Warner Bros.

Bethesda, and developer Behaviour Interactive have reached an amicable agreement, resolving the matter of the lawsuit filed last year.

In June, Bethesda filed a lawsuit against Warner Bros., and developer Behaviour Interactive, claiming the latter used code in Fallout Shelter to build a Westworld mobile game for the former.

Bethesda had hired Behaviour to do some work on Fallout Shelter, and was surprised to find many matching elements in design, gameplay, and art - calling it copyright infringement and misappropriation of its IP.

The company even used bugs in Westworld to illustrate how both it and Fallout Shelter are using the same code, which Bethesda believes is its property.

Now, Bethesda announced that both parties settled (via Gamespot) for an undisclosed sum.

In fact, both agreed to settle in November last year, according to court filings, and the matter was resolved by December 12. The Westworld game remains available for download.
