Bethesda finally unveiled Starfield, the long-rumored sci-fi IP. Bethesda says that it is building Starfield for the next-generation and showed off a very brief teaser trailer.
Not much was seen for Starfield tonight other than the confirmation from Bethesda's Todd Howard that Starfield will be Bethesda's first wholly original IP in 25 years. There was no release date or console announcement, but Starfield was shown off with images of outer space, potentially alluding to the game's theme or setting.
Starfield was long-rumored to be in-development at Bethesda Softworks. While no details were confirmed for Starfield, the fact that the rumors accurately called the IP's title is a first step. To finally see Starfield confirmed was something fans have been waiting for years.
Bethesda also took the time to announce another long-time rumor tonight with Elder Scrolls 6.
