Bellator: MMA Onslaught announced for XBLA, PSN

345 Games has announced Bellator: MMA Onslaught for XBLA and PSN based on the MMA organisation Bellator. It is in development with Supermacy MMA studio Kung Fu Factory.

345 GM Dan Yang said in the press release it will have a bit of an arcade fell to it, as the team wanted to make it "accessible to all types of players" and not just the "hard core MMA fan."

“Fortunately, with Bellator: MMA Onslaught, the player doesn’t need a doctorate in gaming or MMA to enjoy the non-stop action and excitement of the game," he added.

"Bellator has a roster of many of the world’s most exciting fighters, and we are thrilled to work with 345 Games to let fans experience our organization in a whole new way,” said Bjorn Rebney, chairman and CEO, Bellator Fighting Championships.

“Instead of just watching Michael Chandler’s incredible takedowns or Patricky Pitbull’s devastating knockout power, fans can now get in the cage with ‘Bellator: MMA Onslaught’ and either fight with or against Bellator’s finest.”

The game will contain a career mode, the ability to create a custom fighter, local multiplayer, and online ranked matches with winners topping leaderboards. Those who do well in the ranked matches will be "immortalized in upcoming Bellator fights live on-air."

Bellator's roster will also be featured in the game.

345 Games will support and update the game with new moves and styles, weight classes, fighter selections and additional content.

The game is slated for a summer release.
