BBC still plans to bring its iPlayer to Wii U, Xbox One "in the future"

The BBC still plans to bring its iPlayer to Wii U and Xbox One, according to senior product manager Peter Lasko.

Speaking in a blog post from December, Lasko said the BBC is working to bringing the iPlayer to various devices in a "scalable and maintainable way."

"We are working to bring BBC iPlayer to both Xbox One and Nintendo Wii U in the future, but we have no further details to share at this time," he said. "We have no immediate plans to bring BBC iPlayer to Apple TV or the PS Vita."

The app launched on PS4 in Europe when the console hit retail in November 2013.
