Bayonetta 2 arrives on Switch this week alonside the original title, and the critics are loving it.

Releasing on February 16, Bayonetta 2 was announced for Nintendo's console during The Game Awards 2017 alongside Bayonetta 3 for Switch.

Switch owners who pick up Bayonetta 2 for the console can play with others via local, wireless co-op and Tag Climax, which was previously only available online, and there's also online co-op.

Video capture is supported so expect to see some interesting 30-second video clips pop up online.

The Bayonetta amiibo for Smash Bros. is compatible, and others such as like Princess Peach and Samus Arancn be used to unlock costumes for Bayonetta. The costumes are also unlockable through normal gameplay, giving players without amiibo a chance to unlock the duds.

Reviews for Bayonetta and Bayonetta 2 are coming in a bit slow this morning, so as more reviews are released, we'll add them to the post. What are available at present are rather high.

Alex was able to spend some time with it recently and you can give our Bayonetta 1-2 review a read through the link.

Some are for the original Bayonetta on Switch, some for Bayonetta 2, and some are a combination of both.

Bayonetta 1 and 2 will be made available digitally and at retail.

As usual, all scores posted below are based on ten being the highest unless noted.
