You parachute into the fight in Battlefield 5's Airborne mode

One of Battlefield 5's new modes is Airborne, a mode inspired by the real-world tactics of WW2.

In Battlefield 5's Airborne, one team will parachute into the battle, tasked with destroying enemy artillery. The defending team must stop this assault at all costs.

At Battlefield 5's reveal event, DICE said that the upgraded Grand Operations mode will feature objectives very similar to what Airborne is promising. This is not surprising, as the version of Operations in Battlefield 1 was made up of a mix of conquest and rush.

Many shooter fans will remember the airborne missions in a number of WW2 shooters from the past, but this is the first time we're seeing this particular assault in a multiplayer game. With Battlefield's renowned scale, having 64 players on the field will no doubt make this very exciting.

In other Battlefield 5 news, DICE recently confirmed that random bullet deviation, one of the most frustrating aspects of Battlefield 1, is gone.
