Battlefield 4 survey mentions dinosaurs, naval combat - rumor

Battlefield 4 developer DICE has allegedly been polling gamers by way of an online survey, to get a handle on what they'd like to see from the game's DLC slate. The poll also asked if participants would like to see a dinosaur-themed expansion thrown into the mix. Calm down, it's a rumour remember?

NeoGAF user Jibbajabbawockky posted that they had taken part in the poll, which spooled off some new potential features, such as being able to schedule matches with mates over Battlelog 2.0, and dynamic battlefields.

One example given was a map based around a dam. The dam can be chipped away at and eventually destroyed, which then floods the area. There was also speak of naval combat modes and the ability to transfer your Battlefield 3 online profile and ranks to Battlefield 4.

The poll also discussed potential DLC packs, and supposedly asked how players would react if DICE were to take Battlefield 3 maps Operation Metro and Caspian Border, then remake them using Frostbite 3. Participants were asked to grade potential names for this particular pack, along the lines of 'Battlefield 4 Recommisioned', 'BF4 Reenlisted', 'BF4 War Torn', and 'BF4 Reconstructed'.

DICE's second potential DLC pack may focus on naval battles only and had potential names like 'BF4 Naval Warfare and BF4 Steel Titans'.

Finally, DICE's love affair with dinosaurs seems like it may go to a new level, as the poll. The source added that the poll spoke of a co-op mode in which players team up to fight dinosaurs with bow and arrows in hand, as well as other primitive weapons.

According to the source potential names were 'BF4: BC', 'BF4: Primal Combat' and 'BF4: 21942 BC'.

Hoax or truth? You be the judge below, but do bear in mind this is a rumour.
