Battlefield 4 runs at 60fps on next-gen consoles

It's a good day to be a huge explosion or collapsing wind turbine, as its been confirmed that Battlefield 4 will run at 60fps on next-gen consoles.

The improved frame rate will make a significant difference to Battlefield 4, as its multiplayer maps now have an enormous reliance on dynamic events that dramatically alter the landscape and are generally spectacular. These include a giant warship crashing into a tropical island during a raging storm.

There are smaller dynamic options too, such as blockading a road to prevent access from vehicles, or shutting enemies inside a metal container with only a live grenade for company.

Battlefield 4 is out, at 60fps, on PS4 and Xbox One at launch. It'll also be available on PS3 and Xbox 360, though presumably at a lower frame rate. And, of course, it'll look fantastic on PC too.
