Battlefield 3 beta live for early birds on PSN - details

Welcome to Boomtown, baby. Population: all the BF3 beta players in the world.

The Battlefield 3 beta has gone live on PSN earlier than the expected noon timeline given by DICE. Just search for it on the PS Store under "Battlefield 3" and it'll be there.

The beta will let players try out Rush mode on only one map, Operation Metro. The release of the beta today is only for either Medal of Honor Limited Edition and Tier 1 owners, or for those who've pre-ordered the game on Origin.

The download will be 1173Mb for PS3 owners and 1.30Gb for 360 lot.

We're currently downloading both PS3 and 360 versions of the beta right now, and there are reports that beta keys for the PC version are starting to appear.

Battlefield 3 launches on October 25 in the US and October 28 for Europe on PS3, 360 and PC. Thanks, StolenGlory.
