Battlefield 3 beta entry explained in layman's terms

For those who may be a bit confused over how to get into the Battlefield 3 beta, since there are three different options, DICE has decided to explain things a bit via a handy FAQ.

Whether you are a PC, PS3, or Xbox 360 user will be one of the determining factors in your admission to the beta, which runs September 29 through October 10.

Those who pre-ordered the PC digital download version of Battlefield 3: Limited Edition on Origin, or who have registered a first-hand copy of Medal of Honor: Limited Edition or the Tier 1 Edition prior to July 26, get early access to the beta on September 27. If you purchased the Medal of Honor Limited Edition from Steam, you will have early access granted as well. To view your key, go to Medal of Honor in your Steam library, and click the "cd key" link. Find the "Battlefield 3 Open Beta early access" key.

Xbox 360 and PC users who meet the above requirements, will be sent an email with instructions along with a personal early access code. Note your code and follow the instructions. PC users will have to redeem the code via Origin, while PS3 users who meet the requirements will not have to wait on an email notification, as the beta will automatically appear in the PSN Store.

To redeem your code on Origin, after the client is installed, run it and log in with your Origin ID, which is the same as your EA account ID used in Medal of Honor. In the Origin client, click the gear icon in the top menu bar, and then select "redeem product code".

If you are still unsure of what to do, click the link.

Battlefield 3 hits the US on October 25 and Europe on October 28.
