Battle.net gets Facebook support

facebook

Activision's announced it's added Facebook support to the upcoming Battle.net 2.0.

The inclusion of the social network to the online service from Blizzard will allow you to add fellow players with linked Facebook accounts, with testing beginning with the current version of the beta of Starcraft II "in the near future".

The feature is to be fully implemented by the time the full game releases on July 27.

"We're pleased to be working with Facebook to integrate their platform with Battle.net to enhance the social-entertainment experience for our players," said Sam Lyons, COO of Blizzard.

"This new functionality will make it easier than ever to connect with friends on Battle.net and play StarCraft II and future Blizzard Entertainment games together."

Is this what the world has turned to these days, eh?
