Batman: Arkham Knight Combat AR Challenges update adds character selection

An update for the Combat AR Challenges in Batman: Arkham Knight releases today. It allows the player to select which character they wish to use in the challenges.

The update also reduces the blue in AR Challenges.

According to Warner, the characters won't have as easy of time with it as Batman, but this was "intentional" as he's a badass at hand-to-hand. Each usable character comes with the abilities included in the core games and DLC, so at least players will be familiar with the mechanics.

There are seven characters to choose from, depending on which DLC you have acquired.

Azreal, Catwoman, Nightwing and Robin are each available to all while Batgirl, Harley Quinn and Red Hood are only available if the player owns the DLC packs.

Obviously, Season Pass holders own all the DLC, so each character is available from the onset if said DLC is installed on their system.

There won't be dedicated leaderboards for these characters in Combat AR Challenges, as "competitive balancing of each map was done with a particular character in mind, and it wouldn't have been possible for us to add support for well over 100 additional leaderboards."

Players will earn three extra stars for each toon though which will be added to their Gotham's Greatest rating.

October's update is for FreeFlow Combat AR Challenges and a future update in the works will include the ability to use the aforementioned characters on the Invisible Predator AR Challenges.
