Banjo-Kazooie spiritual successor Mingy Jongo canceled, says composer

The Mingy Jongo project, purportedly a spiritual successor to N64's Banjo-Kazooie, is not going to happen according to series composer Grant Kirkhope in an AMA on Reddit. Per Kirkhope, a meeting in a pub with ex-Rare staffers showed promise, with a character even being drawn up along with a demo level. Unfortunately, it "all fell to bits, everyone's got other jobs, etc." At one point the project had a Twitter which went dark in December 2012, and a Kickstarter idea never came to fruition. Thanks, Joystiq.
