August NPD: Xbox 360 claims shock victory over PS3

The NPD results are in, and against all predictions Xbox 360 outsold PlayStation 3 in August in the US.

The Microsoft machine sold 195,200 machines to PS3's 185,400 consoles.

Both Michael Pachter and EEDAR predicted a PS3 win in the HD console market.

Expect Microsoft to go PR mental over this.
