Asura's Wrath interview: "How am I going to fight with zero arms?"

It's the question on everybody's lips. In an interview with Siliconera, Hiroshi Matsuyama - CEO of developer CyberConnect2 - and Kasuhiro Tsuyachiya - producer at Capcom - talked angry power-ups, betrayal and cliffhangers.

In Asura's Wrath, .hack and Naruto developer, Cyberconnect 2, is making an offbeat fighter in which you play the role of Asura, a demi-god betrayed.

He's pretty ticked off about the whole affair, but instead of writing angry letters to his fellow deities he's venting his frustrations in a more direct manner, as the recent gamescom trailer shows.

One of Asura's many talents in the ability to gain and shed arms. Not arms as in weapons, but arms as in appendages, as Tsuyachiya explained in his interview:

"Asura’s Wrath doesn’t have a normal power up system, it’s kind of complicated. I’m sure you’ve seen the trailers where Asura is fighting with no arms. There will be situations where he has six arms and six are of course better than two. Sometimes you will have zero arms and we want players to feel "how am I going to fight with zero arms?" is the type of excitement we want players to feel."

Part one of the full interview can read over on Siliconera.

Asura's Wrath is launching on PS3 and 360 in 2012.
