Assassin's Creed Valhalla Children of Danu locations | Where to find every hidden druid

In the Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Wrath of the Druids DLC, a new threat looms in the shadows of society: the Children of Danu.

Hidden in plain sight among the people of Ireland, the Children of Danu seek to undermine the authority of the ruling class to their own nefarious ends, and only Eivor can smoke them out.

While there are a lot of similarities between the DLC’s undercover druids and the Order of the Ancients from the base game, there are a couple of differences in how you go about finding them all.

Here’s where to find every member of the Children of Danu in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla | Where to find the Children of Danu

When Eivor is first tasked with tracking down the Children of Danu, they’re given just a couple of clues to work with.

Because the map of Ireland is smaller, there are also fewer viewpoints and large points-of-interest to fast travel between. This can mean that it’s more difficult to exactly pin down where to begin your search - since a lot of the locations described don’t appear on the map.

To find each member of the Children of Danu, you’ll need to read either 1 or 2 clues hidden at secret spots across the island of Ireland; then you’ll be able to mark them on your map.

If you’re having trouble spotting where you need to go, zoom in on the map and it will uncover smaller hamlets that you couldn’t see in the wider view, or read on for a list of everywhere you need to go.

Where to find The Wren in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla

First you need to investigate the cottage on the beach north of Port Auley.

Then you need to investigate the ritual stone on the northern side of the water at Lough Gara.

Finally, you can mark them on the map and assassinate them in Rathcroghan.

Where to find The Blaze in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla

You learn about The Blaze by killing The Ash. Then you need to investigate the gravesite near the waterfall in Bally na Gall by the Bann River southeast of Ulster.

It’s up on the hill near the top of the waterfall on the east side of the burned town.

Next, investigate the burned houses between Black Pig’s Dyke and Clogher in southern Ulster.

Go south from Clogher and you’ll find a destroyed town. The clue is inside one of the houses.

The Blaze is then very close by. Defeat them just to the north of where you find the second clue.

Where to find The Spider in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla

The Spider appears on the Children of Danu grid after killing The Whisper, and is one of the more simple druids to track down.

First, you need to defeat Dublin’s Ale Champion, who you can find at the mead horn marker in the city.

After that, investigate the vicinity of the tallest tree in Dublin, which you find in the northeast corner.

Then close by in the Dublin market you can find The Spider.

Where to find The Deer in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla

The Deer is unlocked on the Children of Danu menu after you’ve defeated The Cursed.

To begin, investigate the Ardmel Trade Post in eastern Ulster in Northern Ireland. You find the note just outside the walls on the jetty next to the stream.

You can immediately mark The Deer on your map, where you find them at Inch Lough Neagh on the northern shore of Ulster Lake in the docks.

Where to find The Seed in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla

You learn about The Seed from The Deer, but you can’t go after them until late-on in the Wrath of the Druids story.

To get their first clue, investigate Movilla Abbey on the upper bay of Ulster’s eastern peninsula.

You’ll find the note inside the church at the top on the hill, on a pew.

Then The Seed can be found at Dunseverick fortress in the far northeast of Northern Ireland, but they won’t be there until the Wages of War story mission.

Where to find The Ash in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla

To find The Ash, first investigate the Druidic Ritual Site on the hill between Lough Rea and Lough Tuam in Connacht.

The note is on top of a stone altar.

Next, investigate the hamlet of Kiltober beside the rocky summit southeast of Rathcroghan.

The note you need is in the tent on the south side of Kiltober.

You then defeat The Ash at Kesh Corann mines northwest of Lough Gara.

Head inside the mine - which you’ll find dug into the side of the hill - via the top cave entrance, and you’ll find them towards the bottom.

Where to find The Mist in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla

You learn about The Mist after dealing with The Blaze.

Go and investigate Doon Daven stone circle in northern Ulster, west of the Slaney River, for the first clue.

Now search the decaying boat run aground in the Ulster’s peninsula near the Foyne Reservoir.

It’s on the beach to the northwest of the reservoir.

Finally, go to the bay on the northwestern shore of Northern Ireland and you’ll find them there.

Where to find The Whisper in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla

After defeating The Mist, you’ll hear about The Whisper.

First go to Boyne Tombs, west of Rathdown Trade Post in northern Meath.

The note is on top of the tomb hill, not in the druid hideout inside.

Next, investigate the stone ritual circle near the small harbour along the Boyne River.

This one can be really annoying to find, but it’s simple to collect once you know where you’re going.

Finally, defeat The Whisper in the bogs east of Inchroe.

Where to find The Cursed in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla

You learn about The Cursed almost straight away, and they’re defeated in the main story of the DLC.

Complete the Into the Fog story mission, where you first collect the note from the locked house in Tuam.

Then you go down the staircase icon on the southern side of town and continue the mission there, before following the quest steps to face off against The Cursed.

Where to find The Oak in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla

As you might have guessed, the leader of the Children of Danu is defeated during the climax of the Wrath of the Druids DLC.

I won’t spoil their identity, but know that you can’t miss this one.

What do you get as a reward for defeating the Children of Danu?

Once you’ve taken the bloody amber from every leading member of the Children of Danu, return to speak to Ciara’s friend, Deirdre.

She’ll mix a potion which gives you a particularly powerful weapon.

Without spoiling the surprises of the following quest, it’s safe to say that your reward is easily one of the strongest items in the game, and deals a frankly ridiculous amount of regular and stamina damage.

A worthy reward.
