Workaround posted for those experiencing crashes with Assassin's Creed: Unity

Ubisoft has posted a temporary workaround for those experiencing crashes with Assassin's Creed: Unity.

According to the latest update from the developer, one of issues casing crashes at the main menu after pressing the continue on all platforms is the social feature.

"The team is working hard on a fix for those players that have been affected by this," said Ubisoft.

For players who haven’t experienced the issue, the firm said to take the following steps to prevent a crash: do not add any in-game Recent Player as a game contact; if you already have game contacts, you will need to remove them.

In order to remove contacts, perform the following actions:

  • Go to My Brotherhood
  • Select My Contacts
  • Select Game Contacts (using RB/R1)
  • %

  • Focus on a Contact (LS)
  • Select More Actions (Y/Triangle)
  • Remove from contacts

If players are still experiencing crashing after performing the aforementioned steps, they will need to submit a support ticket.

Again, the issue is being reported for all formats: PC, PlayStation 3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

Thanks, Blue.
