Assassin's Creed: Pirates is standalone naval game for mobile and tablets

Assassin's Creed: Pirates is a fully naval entry to the series starring a new protagonist. It's coming to iOS and Android in the Fall.
Polygon reports that the game takes place at the same time as the Black Flag universe but isn't linked to that game's plot in any way. It stars young pirate Alonzo Batilla as he fights Templars and Assassins to claim the lost treasures of La Buse. Blackbeard will appear at some point too.
Each free roaming play-space spans 20km and sees players exploring and battling ships for XP ship upgrades, treasures and more.
