Assassin's Creed film to be written by Michael Lesslie

Assassin's Creed will be written by British playwright Michael Lesslie, according to Hollywood Reporter. Lesslie is best known for the play Prince of Denmark but has penned a number of short films. The adaptation is the product of a collaboration between New Regency and Ubisoft Motion Pictures and will star Michael Fassbender, who is co-producing with Conor McCaughan. A director has not been named.
