Assassin's Creed 3 US trailer censored to remove American troop slaughter

Assassin's Creed 3 received an ace new trailer yesterday - watch it here if you haven't seen it yet - but the American version has been censored to remove scenes of protagonist Connor killing American troops. See the comparison below.

Here's the European version - note the scene of Connor brutally slaughtering American troops at 02:09.

Now watch the shorter American version here.

The American version is 30 seconds shorter and does not include any scenes where American troops are being killed, despite Connor clearly being a character who fights on both sides of the war.
