Assassin's Creed 3: explosive naval warfare explained

Assassin's Creed 3 brings naval warfare to the franchise for the first time. Creative Director, Steven Masters dons his sea legs and shows us the ropes. Warning: it's explosive!

Although the Assassin's Creed franchise is known for epic chase sequences across rooftops and the occasional sneaky assassination of a passer-by - or street beggar if you're feeling like a dick - Ubisoft thought they'd shake up the mix.

The naval warfare set-pieces in Assassin's Creed 3 will have you starting out with a bare-bones ship that can shoot common ammunition, and then you'll upgrade to some mammoth of a machine. You'll be firing explosive fireballs and everything.

That's not a euphemism.

Masters gave us five minutes of his time to explain how it all works in the video below. Enjoy.
