A sneaky preview of Journey composer's sarcastic Assassin's Creed: Syndicate score

Assassin's Creed: Syndicate has been graced with an orchestral score by one of gaming's most celebrated composers.

Austin Wintory is probably best known for the memorable Journey soundtrack, but he's lent his talents to loads of games - Counter-strike: Global Offensive, Sunset, The Banner Saga, Monaco: What's Yours Is Mine and The Order: 1886, to name just a few.

Ubisoft brought him on for Assassin's Creed: Syndicate and at first listen, via the preview video below, the composer has delivered something with rather more texture than we've grown used to over the past few series entries.

The video description notes that Wintory aimed "not just to capture the drama and excitement of the Assassin’s Creed franchise, but to evoke the prowess and sarcasm of the game’s main characters, Jacob and Evie Frye". So if you have ever wondered what sarcastic music sounds like, this is it.
