Asphalt 8: Airborne is first Twitch-compatible mobile title

Gameloft has announced that its racer Asphalt 8: Airborne is the first smartphone title to offer Twitch mobile live-streaming.

It follows Twitch announcing its mobile streaming SDK, which gives developers the opportunity to incorporate live-streaming functionality into titles.

Shacknews reports that while Gameloft's iOS racer launched last year, today's new Twitch update will enable gamers to broadcast their gameplay on iDevices, and use their forward-facing camera to show themselves playing the game.

In a statement, Twitch VP of marketing Matthew DiPietro said, "Twitch has quickly found a home on consoles, so by partnering with Gameloft to launch the first streaming-enabled mobile game brings us one step closer to being everywhere that gamers are."
