Apple confirms June 11 start for WWDC 2012

Apple's confirmed its WorldWide Developer's Conference will kick off on June 11, meaning it won't clash with E3 as it did last year.

The event runs from June 11-15 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. The event will talk about the future of iOS and the upcoming OS X Mountain Lion OS for Mac.

"We have a great WWDC planned this year and can't wait to share the latest news about iOS and OS X Mountain Lion with developers," said SVP of worldwide marketing Phil Schiller.

"The iOS platform has created an entirely new industry with fantastic opportunities for developers across the country and around the world."

The beginning of last year's WWDC clashed with the start of E3 week and the press conference of Microsoft. This year's E3 takes place from June 5-7.
