Apexicon - Fantasy Puzzle Combat campaign adds modest Wii U stretch goal

Apexicon, a self-proclaimed spiritual successor to Puzzle Quest, has added a Wii U stretch goal to its Kickstarter campaign.

The puzzle RPG from independent developer Actos Games will initially be created for PC, Mac, Linux and mobile platforms, but if the project reaches the $20,000 mark - $5,000 over its minimum target - the game will also come to Nintendo's Wii U.

Apexicon blends Puzzle Quest with Scrabble. As players move through a humourous fantasy world with RPG mechanics, the combat plays out as a round of competitive Scrabble. Constructing longer and more complicated words will deal more damage to your opponents.

It's an interesting concept, and one that could make good use of the Wii U GamePad's touchscreen.

Apexicon is currently looking for funding on Kickstarter.
