APB Reloaded server-side lag eliminated

Gamersfirst claims to have eliminated server-side lag problems plaguing the general release of APB: Reloaded.

The latest APB Reloaded developer blog reports all server-side lag issues were "officially sorted out" as of this week.

"Without going in to extreme technical detail, the issue turned out to be the method used to invoke various external libraries that under certain conditions could cause network congestion on the server itself," the blog explained.

"That issue was fixed in the last 10 days, and combined with new networking equipment from Internap that optimizes the route selection from individual players, most server side lag conditions have now been completely eliminated."

Lag issues affecting some servers had severely marred the relaunch of the MMO action game, with many players forced to drop out after just minutes of playing.

Gamersfirst shows no signs of slowing down its efforts to tweak the game, with more changes to threat levels and ongoing optimisation detailed in the post. Hit the link above for more details.

APB Reloaded is Gamersfirst's revamp of failed realtime Worlds MMO All Points Bulletin.
