Today's Anthem patch makes tethering less annoying

BioWare has just released a new update for Anthem on all platforms.

Today's Anthem update is around 3-5GB, and comes with precisely three changes, one of which should make many of us very happy. The tethering system that warns players when they're too far away from teammates is being relaxed.

The warning timer is being increased, so you won't have to constantly jump from loading screen to another for being 50-odd meters away from the group leader. The update notes don't mention anything about eliminating the system altogether, or only using it in extreme cases, but that's likely going to require much more work.

The patch also fixes an exploit that allowed players to reset the Swarm Tyrant encounter in the Tyrant Mine Stronghold by exiting and rejoining the session.

Finally, chests in Strongholds can now only been looted once. Unfortunately, this particular patch doesn't include the loot and inscription changes BioWare revealed overnight.

Instead, those changes will be available in a different update, which is either dropping later today or tomorrow.
