You can blow up Wasps in Animal Crossing: New Horizons with a party popper

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is supposed to be an idyllic, peaceful game about starting a thriving community on a beautiful deserted island full of friendship and happiness.

Out of the handful of creatures that didn’t get the memo, one lies hidden, waiting to ruin your tranquil existence as you collect your daily fruit: wasps.

Wasps in Animal Crossing: New Horizons descend on you without warning when you shake the wrong tree too vigorously, chasing you around your island with tireless determination.

They’re like Liam Neeson in Taken. They will look for you. They will find you. And they will sting you.

Unless you already had a net ready to catch them, you were near defenceless against the wasps - until now.

ACNH Tip on Twitter shared the following clip of them taking the fight to the yellow-and-black menace, letting loose a party popper to disperse the furious horde:

To try this for yourself, you can buy party poppers from the cabinet at the back of Nook’s Cranny, or from the younger Nooks at residential services if you haven’t opened the shop yet.

Ready your weapon before you start shaking trees, then let rip right at the swarm.
