Analysts predict November win for Xbox 360

Ahead of the NPD's release of US sales figures for November, analysts have picked the Xbox 360 as a clear favourite.

In a note to investors, Wedbush Morgan estimated over 1.44 million Xbox 360s were sold last month, a 5% increase on 2010's performance. EEDAR was slightly more conservative, at 1.3 million.

Both companies put the Wii in second place with just over 1 million units, a drop of 17% year-on year, and agreed that the PlayStation 3 had shifted 750,000 units, a 45% increase.

Again, both firms agreed the DS had dropped 50% to 750,000 units, with Wedbush Morgan estimating the 3DS at 760,000.

Wedbush Morgan put the month's software takings at $1.5 billion in total, a 3% increase on 200, and the third month in a row to see growth.
